WHEN it comes to dieting, to be able to eat out and not have to forgo appetising options in favour of some bland salad is no mean feat.
So, hooray for Gusto in George Street, which has just launched its Healthy Living menu.

Created by executive chef John Branagan and in association with the Adidas Wellness Clinics, this menu combines intense flavours and an extensive selection of ingredients, as well as high quality, fresh organic produce. And the cooking practices, which are devoid of the excessive use of fat, sugar and salt, cater not only for those on a diet but those with diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.

Each of the 25 dishes comes with calorie content, as well as fat, fibre, carbohydrate and cholesterol details. They also contain icons which highlight the benefits of each dish, such as boosting your immune system or detoxifying.

And, best of all, they are delicious, with not a hint of diet food about them.

Choose from options such as skewered chicken with lemon and honey marinade, flattened 28-day-aged fillet steak, seafood risotto and spaghetti bolognaise.

Gusto, 135 George Street, 0131-225 2555
